Homemade Elderberry Syrup

A quick instant pot recipe. Immune-boosting elderberry syrup is an antioxidant-rich, easy to make, powerful remedy for common ailments. Keep some on hand to keep your immune system strong year-round.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried elderberries
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup raw honey or pure maple syrup
  • 10 cloves & freshly grated ginger root

Preparation

  • Place all ingredients with 4 cups of water in instant pot
  • Where to find elderberries? Search for 1 pound bag of dried european elderberries on Amazon
  • Place lid on & seal steam release knob. Set on manual for 10 minutes. Allow natural release for 10 minutes. once it's done cooking
  • Once cooking is complete, strain ingredients, place in mason jar
  • Keep refrigerated for up to 3 months
  • No instant pot? No problem. You can also make this on the stovetop
  • Simply simmer all ingredients for approximately 1 hour
  • Strain into mason jar
